Matt will move beyond the basics\, teaching you how to read the water more effectively to increase your catch rate. The session will also feature an in-depth look at the technical side of the sport\, covering everything from the fundamentals to advanced European Nymphing techniques.\n\n\nMeet Matt Hayes\, Owner of Lazy Dog Outfitters. A life lived on the water has shaped Matt’s deep-rooted passion for the outdoors. Growing up on the St. Lawrence River in upstate New York\, Matt spent his youth chasing smallmouth bass—a spark that ignited a lifelong obsession. After moving to Statesville in the late 90s\, he discovered fly fishing in high school\, transforming a hobby into a calling.
