CFFC Board Meeting Minutes

Call to Order: 6.30 PM
August Minutes not approved. Tabled until next meeting.
Reports: President
The website will go down on 11 September 2023. Get all the pictures and documents if you want them.
Meeting with developers 2 to 3 times a week until the middle of October. Bill has a program (event groove) that will be able to pay for the Banquet and Nantahala trip until the website comes live. 0.03 per transaction for payment.
Jesse Brown 10a-3 or 4pm lying and tying with CFFC. Set up enough for 4 to 5 people. Mike and Bill will take the vises and be able to teach people how to tie. The banner will be there. Dave MacBurnie will be there.
Membership
2 new members joined from the picnic. 3 renewals 125 total 116active 9 pending 4 overdue
Treasurer report
Dennis Financial: $9,120.24 in bank
Paid go-daddy. The biggest expenses. Picnic income 1915.00 total 1695.00 spent. Made 300.00
Nantahala is fully paid for.
Events
Added Sarah for events. As of January 2024, she will be events coordinator. Holiday party details in new business.
Communications
The PA system worked great at the picnic. The FB page is growing, we’re getting good foot traffic on the page.
Education
Mike announces the Kingfisher Classic come October. Lying and tying next week at Bass Pro Shop. Joyce will join the education side for casting clinics and making more clinics for the members.
Programs
The October speaker is Jesse Brown’s new lead guide. Steve will gather information to put up with Facebook, and email.
Trips/Outings
Boz absent. Nantahala has one spot left. Psycho Fly fishing Camping trip 7-9. Bob Thomas. Posted On FB.
Create a monthly calendar for the club. With PHW, CFFC, trips, and other events. Will be on a new website and will be able to see them in your email and attach them to the calendar. Put on FB for pins.
Raffles
Getting more items for the holiday party. Please contact your connections to see if they want to donate a guided trip or other services.
WOTF
The brochure from WOTF has events that WOTF is doing. Sarah Freeman will be on the board for special events, access to events, and be able to post on the calendar on the new website.
New Business
Holiday party venues and date: November 8th, 2023.
Hotel Concord pictures were sent out before the meeting. Tina gave descriptions of the venue and Bob motioned to go ahead with the venue. DJ Smith seconded, John Robbins seconded, motion passed unanimously. Tina will get in touch with Lynn from the Hotel Concord and proceed with reservations. Caterers will be going through this next week and will keep the board updated as soon as possible. Board members are requested to respond to the emails.
