CFFC Board Meeting October 5 2023
Call to Order Was 6:32 PM
In attendance were Biil Jewett, Dennis Johnson, Bob Martin, Mike Helms. John Robbins, Kathleen Bergeron, Steve Patterson, Tina Jewett, William Boswell.
Minutes of the August and September meetings were approved.
President Report:
Web domain and domain is copyrighted for us. Website is being worked on and needed adjusted at the last meeting with them.
Treasurers Report:
The Nantahala Trip has been paid for. The deposit for the banquet has been paid. With the event groove website for the banquet, we receive a deposit once a week. The big expenses are paid for (website, and banquet.)
Membership Report:
No new news due to website not fully up and running.
Programs:
Steve has acquired January and February 2024 speakers for the meetings.
Trips:
No new trips planned yet. Put on FB personal fishing trips to see if anyone wants to join on trip.
Education:
Lying and Tying next week.
Kingfisher Classic on October 28 2023 in Cleveland Tennessee.
Conservation:
Kathleen discussed the importance of removing the dams. She also discussed adopting a section of river to clean and take water samples for further studying.
Communications:
Bob M reports of fictitious posts on Facebook and constantly removing bots. Has been restricted to be approved by Bill or Bob.
Raffles:
People not buying raffle tickets at meetings. While applying for donations from Bass Pro Shops and keep getting an error on the website.
Events:
Holiday Banquet is going well, the first deposit was been paid and the second is due on 25 October.
Women on the Fly:
Not Present
Project Healing Waters:
Not Present. Moving meetings to Veteran’s Bridge Home on Tyvola Road in Charlotte.
New Business
A motion was made to offer advertisements for the sponsors of the club on the FB page and the upcoming website. There was a suggestions about making a tier system to the longevity of the ads and visibility.
